Software Company in Lalitpur

Antbytelabs builds software for businesses in Lalitpur and Patan — custom software, web and mobile apps, e-commerce, and AI. We are in Bhaktapur, half an hour from Pulchowk, so we can meet in person across Patan, Jhamsikhel and Kupondole, or work fully remotely. Projects start from $300 with full source-code ownership and fixed-price quotes.

What can a software company in Lalitpur build for you?

The same stack we build for clients abroad, priced for Nepal, with the code handed to you at the end.

Who actually buys software in Lalitpur

Lalitpur does not have the same buyers as the rest of the valley, which is the only reason this page exists separately. Three clusters account for most of the work.

The development sector. Sanepa, Jhamsikhel and Kupondole hold a large share of Nepal's INGO and NGO offices, and their software problems are reporting problems. Indicator definitions change between funding rounds, so a schema that hard-codes this year's indicators has to be rewritten next year. Field data arrives from districts with no reliable connection, which makes offline-first data collection a requirement rather than a nice-to-have. And anything touching donor money has to survive an audit, which means an append-only trail, not a row somebody can quietly edit.

Design studios and agencies. Patan has the densest concentration of design and creative firms in the country. They rarely need a website built, they need the thing behind it: a CMS their clients can actually use, a proposal or retainer tracker, an asset library that does not live in one person's Drive.

Patan's makers and exporters. The metalwork, jewellery and handicraft trade around Patan Industrial Estate sells abroad, and that changes the software. You need multi-currency pricing, export paperwork that regenerates without retyping, and stock that is accurate when one item is unique rather than one of five hundred. Our e-commerce work covers that side.

The local details that decide the project

Building for Nepal is not building for anywhere else with the currency changed. Payments are the part that most often goes wrong late, because the sandbox behaves and production does not. eSewa, Khalti, IME Pay and Fonepay each have their own flow, their own settlement timing, and their own failure modes when a user closes the tab mid-payment.

For an organisation reporting to a funder abroad, add the parts nobody demos. Bikram Sambat dates sitting next to Gregorian ones in the same report. Devanagari rendering that survives being exported to PDF, which is where it usually breaks. Beneficiary records that fall under data-protection expectations written in another country.

None of these are hard once they are in the specification. All of them are expensive when they are discovered after launch. Ask early, and ask any company you are considering the same thing.

Software companies in Lalitpur — frequently asked questions

Which is the best software company in Lalitpur?

There is no single best one, and any company answering otherwise about itself is selling. Lalitpur has a real spread, from one-person studios in Jhamsikhel to established firms around Pulchowk. Match the size of the vendor to the size of the work: a five-page site and a donor reporting platform should not go to the same team. Antbytelabs builds custom software, web and mobile apps, and AI, with full source-code ownership and fixed-price quotes.

Do you work with NGOs and INGOs in Lalitpur?

Yes, and it is worth saying what changes when you do. Development-sector work is shaped by the reporting cycle rather than the sales cycle: data has to survive an audit, indicator definitions change between funding rounds, and field data often arrives from places with no connection at all. Those constraints belong in the specification at the start, not after the first quarterly report is due.

How much does software development cost in Lalitpur?

Pricing is the same across the Kathmandu Valley: a website from NPR 25,000, an online store from NPR 60,000, a mobile app from NPR 150,000, and custom software from NPR 300,000. You get a fixed quote after a free discovery call. Location inside the valley does not change the number.

Can you meet in person in Patan?

Yes. We are in Bhaktapur, so Patan, Jhamsikhel, Pulchowk and Kupondole are a short drive for discovery sessions, design reviews and handover. Plenty of projects run entirely over video, and that is fine too.

What should a Lalitpur business check before signing?

Who owns the source code after handover, in writing. What the quote excludes. What support costs per year once the project is live. Ask to speak to a client whose project went badly, not one from the portfolio page. The answer to that last question tells you more than any of the others.
